The Tower Wall is a climbing area in New York, about 0.3 miles from the town of Ramapo. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Three Bears Wall, Sunny Picnics and n. Perched Ramparts all within about a tenth of a mile, and the White Diamond Trail just as close. The area has 21 routes, with mixed climbing the most common style. The grades run from 5.3 up to 5.11b, and the hardest of them, Rock Romancer, is a sport route. Manticore Upper Arete is a mixed route at 5.3, and Tower Wall Direct is a mixed route at 5.9+. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 76°F, with July peaking near 84°F. Hikers can also reach the 7 Hills Trail about 0.7 miles away. Across the state line in New Jersey, the Ramapo River offers fishing about 4 miles off.
