Sunny Picnics is a climbing area in New York, about 0.3 miles from the town of Ramapo. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots and trails, with Stockade Wall, n. Perched Ramparts and Baldy all about 0.1 mile away, and the White Diamond Trail just as close. The area offers a mix of climbing styles, with 11 routes in total. Four are boulders, four are trad, and two are mixed. The grades run from about 5.3 to 5.8- on the YDS scale, and the Picnics Arete is the only sport route. The Manticore Dihedral is a mixed climb at 5.8-. For a change from the rock, the 7 Hills Trail and Seven Hills are both about 0.7 mile away. Across the state line in New Jersey, the Ramapo River offers fishing about 4 miles off, and Monksville Reservoir is about 8 miles away.
