Casino Trail is a moderate hike of about 2 miles in Hudson Highlands State Park Preserve in New York, managed by State Park and Recreation. The route rises from a starting point near 1,417 feet to a high point of 1,423 feet, with a total elevation gain of 963 feet. The climb is steeper in the middle of the route, and the trail ends at a lower point than it begins, with a total loss of 1,269 feet. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Stormville run from highs around 72°F in May to 74°F in September, with July the warmest month at about 83°F. That station sits roughly 500 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the summit run cooler. The Wilkinson Memorial Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and the Fishkill Ridge Trail and Dry Brook Trail are each about 1.1 miles off. Storm King Mountain, a climbing area, lies about 4.4 miles away.
