The Promised Land is a climbing area in the La Madre Mountain Wilderness, on land managed by the Bureau of Land Management's Red Rock/Sloan Field Office in Nevada. It sits within the wilderness, which is part of the BLM's holdings in the area. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Mt Charleston show July highs around 79°F with lows near 52°F, while winter highs stay in the mid-40s. That station sits about 1,300 feet lower than the climbing area, so temperatures up here run cooler. Several other climbing areas and trails lie within a couple of miles. Red Rock Wash is about 1.5 miles away, and Mother's Crag is about 1.6 miles away. The La Madre Spring Trail and the White Rock - Willow Spring Trail are both within about a mile.
