Shit House Boulder is a bouldering area on Bureau of Land Management land in Nevada, within the Red Rock/Sloan Field Office. It sits among a cluster of climbing and hiking spots, with Big Brown Boulder (aka Brown Round) and the White Rock Loop hike each about 0.1 mile away. The area is a bouldering destination, with eight routes all rated between V0 and V2 on the V scale. The easiest are Backside Right at V0 and Shit House Crack at V0-1, while Bucks runs V2-3. The climbing is close together, so it works well as a short stop for a day of bouldering. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 70°F and October highs around 75°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. That station sits about 790 feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures on the rock run cooler. Red Rock Canyon Campground is about 6.7 miles away for an overnight stay, and the Grand Circle Trail is about 0.6 mile off for a longer hike.
