Mystery Canyon is a bouldering area in Nevada's Rainbow Mountain Wilderness, on land managed by the Bureau of Land Management's Red Rock/Sloan Field Office. It sits within the wilderness, about 6.7 miles from the Red Rock Canyon weather station, which sits roughly 900 feet lower than the canyon itself, so temperatures up high run cooler. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby weather station show April highs around 70°F and October highs around 75°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. The area has two bouldering routes, both rated in the V8+ to V10 range on the V scale. They are Sad Robot (V8+) and Salt is Salty (V10). The Wobble and Mossy Ledges Area climbing areas are each about 0.1 mile away, and the White Rock Loop hike is about 0.2 mile off. For an overnight stay, Red Rock Canyon Campground is about 7 miles away.
