Guardian Angel is an easy out-and-back hike on Bureau of Land Management land within the Red Rock/Sloan Field Office in Nevada. The route is 1.1 miles long, with a low point at 3,776 feet and a high at 4,213 feet, so it adds about 400 feet of elevation gain to a short walk. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 70°F and October highs around 75°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. The trail sits among a cluster of hiking and climbing routes. Calico Basin Trail and Cowlick Crag are about 0.1 mile away, and Gnat Man Crag and the Girl Scout Trail are also within a tenth of a mile. For an overnight stay, Red Rock Canyon Campground lies about 2.8 miles away.
