Calico II Trail is a 5-mile out-and-back hike on Bureau of Land Management land in Nevada, within the Red Rock/Sloan Field Office. It rises from a low of about 3,778 feet to a high of about 4,326 feet, for a total elevation gain of 571 feet. The route is natural-surfaced and rated moderate. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 70°F in April to 75°F in October. That station sits about 550 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. The trail lies close to several other destinations. The Moenkopi Loop of the Grand Circle Trail is about 0.3 miles away, and the climbing areas of Upper Tier and Lower Tier are the same distance off. Red Rock Canyon Campground is about 2.4 miles away.
