Pleasant View is a hard hike in the Three Rivers Ranger District of Montana's Kootenai National Forest, about 20.7 miles long and rising from 2,954 feet to 6,590 feet. The trail is an out-and-back, and the Forest Service manages the land. The trailhead is Pleasant View Trailhead #19, and the route is open from May 1 through November 30. The climb is steep, with a total gain of 664 feet. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows horses, so riders can take it as well as hikers. Roderick Mountain lies about 1.5 miles away, and Independence Creek is about 3.1 miles off. For an overnight stay, Yaak Falls Campground is about 7.1 miles away, and Red Top Campground is about 8.3 miles away.
