Patrick Ridge is a hard hike in the Fortine Ranger District of Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana, about 13.7 miles long and gaining about 3,450 feet on the way to a high point of 7,060 feet. The trail is an out-and-back, and it's rated hard. It is on natural surface and allows both bikes and horses, which makes it a practical choice for anyone looking to ride or ride with a horse rather than walk alone. The route rises from a low of about 3,480 feet to a peak near 7,060 feet. That makes the climb steep, and the high elevation means the top is well above tree line. Several other places sit within a few miles. South Dickey Lake campground is about 2 miles away, and North Dickey Lake is about 2.9 miles off. The Marston hike is about 2.4 miles away, and the Stillwater River offers canoeing about 2.9 miles from the trail.
