Pine Point Loop is a short cross-country ski route in Massachusetts, about 1.6 miles from the town of Carlisle. It is an easy out-and-back, roughly 0.22 miles long, with almost no elevation gain. The route is flat for most of the way, and the steepest stretch comes early on, with a grade of about 8 percent at about 0.06 miles. Winter is the natural season for this trail. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Bedford show January highs around 36°F and lows near 18°F, with snow on about eight days that month. By April, snow days drop to about two, and by May, they are gone. Several other ski routes sit about 0.3 miles away, including Pond View, Maple Ridge and Shoreline. Climbers can head to Chelmsford Lime Quarry, about 3.2 miles off.
