Maple Ridge is a short, moderate cross-country ski route in Massachusetts, about 1.7 miles from the town of Carlisle. The trail is an out-and-back that covers roughly half a mile, with a total elevation gain of about 39 feet. The climb is gentle, with the steepest stretch at about 0.14 miles in, where the grade reaches about 9 percent. Winter is the natural season for this route. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Bedford show January highs around 36°F and lows near 18°F, with snow on about eight days that month. Snow days drop to zero from May through September, when the station records highs in the 70s and 80s. Several other ski routes sit close by. Shoreline and Pine Point Loop are each about 0.1 mile away, and Corn Cob is about 0.2 mile away. For a change of pace, the Chelmsford Lime Quarry climbing area is about 2.9 miles off.
