Pine Point Loop is a short, flat cross-country ski route in Massachusetts, about 1.6 miles from the town of Carlisle. It is an easy, out-and-back loop that covers roughly 0.22 miles and has almost no elevation gain, with a high point of 174 feet and a low of 162 feet. The trail is so short that it works well as a quick addition to a day spent exploring the surrounding ski trails. Winter is the natural season for this route. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Bedford put January highs around 36°F with lows near 18°F and snow on about 8 days. By contrast, summer brings highs in the low 80s and no snow, though it is not a time to ski. Several other cross-country ski routes lie within about 0.2 miles, including Pond View, Maple Ridge and Shoreline. For a change of pace, the Chelmsford Lime Quarry climbing area is about 3 miles away.
