Corral Creek is a hard hike in Idaho's Forest Service lands, about 1.5 miles from the town of Sun Valley. The trail is an out-and-back route of about 8.7 miles, with a one-way elevation gain of 350 feet, taking you from a low point of about 6,093 feet to a high of about 6,524 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 80°F with lows near 45°F, and September highs around 69°F. That station sits roughly 634 feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the route run cooler. The trail is open year-round, and the parking area is at the Trail Creek Trailhead. Bikes are allowed on the natural-surface trail, and Proctor Mountain and Aspen Loop both start just 0.1 mile away. Boundary campground is about 0.6 mile off.
