Harper's Trail is a 4.3-mile out-and-back hike on Bureau of Land Management land within the Shoshone Field Office in Idaho. The route rises about 784 feet from its lowest point at 5,990 feet to a high of 6,777 feet, and it is rated moderate. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Ketchum show July highs around 80°F with lows near 45°F, and the trail sits a few hundred feet higher than the station, so temperatures on the route run a little cooler. Snow is common from November through April. Bikes are allowed on the natural-surface trail, and the Fox Cr. Loop starts just 0.1 mile away. Lake Creek Connector lies about 0.6 mile off. Boundary campground and the Big Wood River fishing access are both about 3 miles away.
