The Aspetuck Valley Trail is a 6.9-mile point-to-point hike in Connecticut, about 1.4 miles from Sanfordtown. It rises from a low of about 300 feet to a high of 667 feet, with a total elevation gain of 617 feet and a steepest stretch of about 15% grade near the start. The trail is rated moderate. The most comfortable months for a visit are late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Danbury run from highs around 69°F in May to about 74°F in September, with July the warmest at 82°F. The trail is not open to bikes or horses. Plan for about 2.5 hours on foot. Ruth's Trail lies about 1.2 miles away, and the Pinchbeck Trail and Saugatuck Trail are each about 2.3 miles off. Climbers can find Bald Rock Basin about 2.3 miles away.
