Cattail Trail is a short, easy loop hike in Connecticut, about 1.7 miles from the town of Hattertown. The trail is 0.27 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 89 feet and a total loss of 63 feet, making it a gentle outing that can be done in a few minutes. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Danbury show May highs around 72°F and September highs around 75°F, with July the warmest month at about 85°F. Several other trails sit close by. Laurel Ledges Trail is just 0.1 mile away, and Oak Hill Trail and Seven Ponds Trail are each within half a mile. For climbing, the Western Coastal Slope is about 2.6 miles off.
