Pinchbeck Trail is an easy hike in Connecticut, about 1.1 miles from the town of Boston. The route is short at 0.83 miles and rises about 221 feet, from a start near 380 feet to a high point of about 563 feet. The climb is steady, with the steepest stretch around 0.62 miles in at about 11%, and the trail ends with a small drop of about 35 feet. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are good bets. Typical averages from the nearby Danbury airport station show May highs around 69°F and September highs around 74°F. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the higher ground run slightly cooler. The trail links easily with other outings. The Saugatuck Trail starts just 0.1 mile away, and the Delia and Two Ridges trails are both within a mile. Climbers can find Bald Rock Basin about 0.9 mile off.
