Solitude Wall is a climbing area in the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing and riding spots, with Solitude Canyon and The Sailing Wall both within a quarter mile, and the Blue Dot Trail just 0.1 mile away. The area has 32 routes, mostly sport climbing with a few boulders and trad. The YDS grades run from 5.9 up to 5.13b/c, with the hardest route, Crocodile Tears, at 5.13b/c. Among the named routes are Old Man Lightning at 5.9, Blow Me at 5.11d and Hillbilly Elegy at 5.12c. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Ft Valley show May highs around 71°F and October highs around 66°F, while July and August bring the most wet days. Nearby options include the Blue Dot Trail and Solitude Canyon for more climbing, Little Elden Springs Horsecamp about 3 miles away, and Lockett Meadow Campground roughly 8 miles out.
