Tombstone Area is a bouldering area in the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing and hiking spots, with Gloria's and An Undercling Thing / Burger King Boulder both about 0.1 mile away and Elden Grave Trail just as close. The climbing here is all bouldering, with five routes spread across the V1 to V9 range. Tombstone Traverse is a V4, Tombstone is a V7, and Last Dance is a V9. The area is best suited to climbers who enjoy bouldering on a range of grades, from the easier V1 to the more challenging V9. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Flagstaff run from highs around 68°F in May to about 64°F in October, while July and August bring the most wet days of the year. Nearby, Little Elden Springs Horsecamp is about 3.5 miles away, and Lockett Meadow Campground is about 8.7 miles away. Elden Grave Trail and Oldham Trail are both within a quarter mile.
