Main Drainage is a bouldering area in the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing areas, with 2) Dragon Egg and 3) Smaug each about 0.1 mile away. The area has six bouldering routes, all rated between V3 and V6 on the V scale. The routes include Bullet Proof (V3), Brain Hotel (V5) and Inhuman Rampage (V6), the hardest of the bunch. The climbing is bouldering only, so there is no rope or anchor gear to set up. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Ft Valley run from highs around 71°F in May to about 66°F in October, with July and August bringing the most wet days of the year. The Blue Dot Trail and Forces of Nature mountain biking trails are both within half a mile. Little Elden Springs Horsecamp is about 3 miles away, and Lockett Meadow Campground is about 8.5 miles away.
