Secret Canyon is a climbing area in the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among several other outdoor destinations, with The Carnal Caves just 0.1 mile away and the Elden Lookout Trail about half a mile off. The canyon offers a small but varied selection of rock. Three routes are listed, two of which are traditional and one mixed, with grades ranging from 5.10- to 5.12-. The easiest is Where Eagles Dare at 5.10-, and the hardest is Sun King Direct at 5.12-, a mixed climb. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from the Ft Valley weather station, about 9 miles away, show May highs around 71°F and October highs around 66°F, while July and August bring the most wet days. Mt. Elden Areas, a climbing area about a mile away, and Little Elden Springs Horsecamp, a campground roughly 2 miles off, round out the options close by.
