East Elden, also known as East Elden (Below Lost Elden), is a bouldering area in the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with The One Wall and Sawyer Wall each about 0.3 miles away. The area is a bouldering destination, with six routes listed, all of them boulders. The grades run from V1-2 up to V7, with the hardest route, U.G.B., at V7. The Warmup boulders are the easiest, at V1-2, and Radical Dales is a V2. The Arete problem is a V4-5, and Flyin Brian is a V4. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Ft Valley, which sits about 1,500 feet lower, show May highs around 71°F and October highs around 66°F, while July and August bring the most wet days. Devils Head Trail and Blue Dot Trail are both about 0.4 miles away. Little Elden Springs Horsecamp is about 2 miles off, and Lockett Meadow Campground is roughly 8 miles away.
