The Hive is a climbing area in the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Tiny Town and The Lair each about 0.1 mile away. The area has seven routes, six of them sport and one trad. The grades run from 5.10 up to 5.12-, with Killer Queen at 5.11d and Chinese Hornet at 5.12- as two of the harder options. The trad route, The Hive Splitter, is 5.10. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Ft Valley show May highs around 71°F and October highs around 66°F, while July and August bring the most wet days. The Lair and Tiny Town are both about 0.1 mile away, and the Pipeline mountain biking trail is about half a mile off. Little Elden Springs Horsecamp, about 2.8 miles away, is the closest campground.
