Lookout Tower is a climbing area in the Red Rock-Secret Mountain Wilderness, part of the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits within designated wilderness. The climbing here is all trad, with five routes ranging from 5.8 to 5.11-. Lookout Chimney is the easiest at 5.8, and Treehouse Jam is the hardest at 5.11-. East Fayce and Rockchuck are both 5.10. The routes are named for their positions on the tower and the surrounding rock. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Oak Creek Canyon show May highs around 78°F and October highs around 74°F, while July and August average about 90°F. Fay Canyon, a mountain biking route, is just 0.2 miles away, and the Fay Canyon #53 hike is 0.5 miles off. Boynton Vista is 0.6 miles away, and Bear Mountain, another climbing area, is 0.6 miles away.
