Bear Mountain is a climbing area in the Red Rock-Secret Mountain Wilderness, part of the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona. The Forest Service manages the land. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to climb. Typical averages from the Oak Creek Canyon weather station, about 7.5 miles away, put October highs near 74°F with lows around 44°F and April near 70°F and 39°F. The station sits roughly 500 feet lower, so temperatures up here run a bit cooler.
