Boynton Canyon is a climbing area in the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, about 5 miles from Sedona. It sits among a cluster of climbing and riding spots, with Land of Spires just 0.4 miles away and Lookout Tower about 0.8 miles off. The canyon holds 28 routes, mostly trad with a few sport options. Grades run from 5.7 up to 5.13b, with the median around 5.10. Among the named routes are Basketball Dome at 5.7, Watch Out, Grandpa at 5.10+, and Aztec Gold at 5.13b. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Sedona show April highs around 75°F and October highs near 79°F, while July averages climb to about 97°F.
