Icebox is a climbing area in the Pleasant Valley Ranger District of Tonto National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of hiking trails and other climbing spots in the district, with Workman Falls about 4.4 miles away and Parker Creek about 2 miles off. The climbing here is sport and mixed, with six routes in total. The grades run from 5.9 up to 5.11d, and the hardest is Bitch's Britches. Whipped Cream is the easiest at 5.9, and Annihilation is the mixed route at 5.10c. The median grade is 5.11a. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Roosevelt run from highs around 74°F in March to about 85°F in October, while summer highs climb into the low 100s. That station sits roughly 1,600 feet lower than the area, so temperatures at Icebox run cooler. Nearby, Parker Creek and Bombus Trail are both within about 2.5 miles.
