Lower East Wall is a climbing area in the Superstition Wilderness, part of the Mesa Ranger District of Tonto National Forest in Arizona. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits within designated wilderness. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Superior, Arizona, show March highs around 72°F and November highs around 72°F, while July highs reach about 99°F. That station sits roughly 700 feet lower than the wall, so temperatures on the rock run cooler. The climbing here is all trad, with five routes ranging from 5.7 to 5.10-. The Anonymous is the easiest at 5.7, and Trouble Finds Me is the hardest at 5.10-. The Southeast and Miners Needle climbing areas are each about 0.1 mile away, and the Whiskey and Coffee Flat hikes are about 0.4 mile off.
