Upper Tanque Verde Falls is an easy hike of about 0.76 miles on the Santa Catalina Ranger District of Coronado National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is an out-and-back with a low point of about 3,245 feet and a high of about 3,337 feet, so the climb is minimal, with only about 21 feet of elevation gain one way. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show March highs around 74°F and October highs around 86°F, while June and July average in the low to mid 100s. The trail is natural-surfaced and bikes are allowed. It is not an accessible route. Tanque Verde Canyon and Tool Shed, both climbing areas, sit within about half a mile. Lower Tanque Verde Falls is about 0.7 miles away, and South Tanque Verde Rim is about 0.6 miles away.
