King's Chapel Trail is a 0.7-mile out-and-back hike in Lake Guntersville State Park in northern Alabama, managed by State Park and Recreation. The trail rises about 100 feet from a starting point near 812 feet to a high point around 820 feet. The climb is moderate, with the steepest stretch of about 15% at roughly 0.4 miles in, and the whole route is about 1.4 miles round trip. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 73°F with lows near 53°F, and April is similar at 72°F and 50°F. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the trail run slightly cooler. The Cave and Terrell Trail are both about 0.1 miles away. The Guntersville Roof climbing area and the Cave Trail are each about half a mile off.
