Trailside Boulder is a bouldering area in Vermont, about 0.8 miles from the town of Grangerville. It sits among several other climbing spots, with Holey Land and Riverside Boulder each about 0.1 miles away, and The Frog and The Toad at a similar distance. The area is a cluster of boulders rather than a single route, and the climbing here is all bouldering, with grades ranging from V4 to V10-. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically June through September, when typical averages from the nearby Rutland weather station run from highs around 76°F in June to about 71°F in September. Winters are cold, with January highs near 29°F and several snowy days each month from December through February. The routes at Trailside Boulder are all bouldering, and the grade range runs from V4 to V10-. Angles Direct is a V4, Angles of Chance is V7-8, and Unwound is V10-. Samuel Hayden is listed as the first ascender on several of these routes.
