Chaffee Falls is a bouldering area in northern Vermont, about a mile from the town of Grangerville. It sits close to several other climbing areas, including the Warm-Up Area, Holey Land and Trailside Boulder, all within a tenth of a mile. The area has 36 bouldering routes, with grades ranging from V1 to V13 and a median of V6, so it suits climbers of all levels. Summer and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Rutland show July highs around 80°F and September highs near 71°F, while winter brings highs in the 20s and regular snow days from December through February. Among the nearby spots, the Cave Trail is about a mile away and the Pittsford Trails are roughly a mile off. Paddlers can find Furnace Brook about 0.4 miles away, and Chittenden Brook Campground lies about 7.8 miles away.
