North Tower is a short loop hike in Tennessee, just 0.3 miles from the town of Collegedale. The route covers about a mile, with a low point at 784 feet and a high point at 1,123 feet, and it is rated easy. The climb is a loop, and it starts at an elevation of 841 feet. The steepest part comes early, at about 0.23 miles in, with a 20% grade. The total elevation gain is 303 feet, and the total loss is 503 feet, so the trip ends lower than it begins. The estimated time is about half an hour. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 74°F in April to about 74°F in October, and the station sits roughly 450 feet lower than the route's high point, so temperatures on the hill run a little cooler. Wolftever Greenway is just 0.1 mile away, and Points Unknown and White Oak Ridge are each about 0.2 mile off. Climbers can find Goliath wall about 0.7 mile away.
