Lost World Spires is a climbing area in Oregon, about 4.4 miles from the town of Peel. It sits among several other outdoor spots in the region, with Jurassic Park just 0.7 miles away and Cavitt Creek Falls Recreation Site about a mile off. The climbing here is a mix of styles, with five routes on record. Two are sport routes, two are top rope, and one is a trad route. The grades run from 5.8 to 5.10, with Tan Lines and Hummingbird Arete at 5.8. Long Ears Rongororongo is the hardest at 5.10. The first ascents of these routes date back to 2020, with El Alacrán a top rope at 5.9+. Summer is the driest and warmest stretch for a visit. At a nearby weather station, July and August typically average highs around 84°F with only about three wet days a month. Winter is cooler and much wetter, with typical highs in the mid-40s and 17 or 18 wet days a month from November through January. That station sits well below the spires, so temperatures up high run cooler. Cavitt Creek Falls Recreation Site and Wolf Creek Trail are both within a few miles. Chickenhead Wall, about 4 miles away, and Shadow Falls offer more climbing and hiking in the area.
