The Honeycombs is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land in the Roseburg District Swiftwater Field Office in Oregon, about 2.9 miles from the Idleyld Park weather station. It sits in a cluster of climbing areas, with North Comb about 0.2 miles away and Fire Dome about 0.3 miles away. The Honeycombs has seven sport routes, with grades from 5.8 to 5.10c/d. Among them are The Honeyfinger at 5.8, Taste of Honey at 5.9 and Honey Pot at 5.10c. Chasing the Edge is at 5.10b, and the Taste of Honey Overhang variation reaches 5.10c/d. Summer is the driest and warmest stretch for climbing. Typical July and August highs reach about 84°F with only about three wet days a month, while winter months see highs in the mid-40s and rain on 17 or more days. The weather station sits roughly 1,260 feet below the climbing area, so expect it to run cooler up top.
