Chickenhead Wall is a climbing area in Oregon, about 2 miles from the town of Peel. It is a compact crag with a small number of routes, and the closest neighbors are the Jurassic Park climbing area and the Wolf Creek Trail, both within about 3.5 miles. The climbing here is mostly top rope, with two trad routes. Of the 14 routes listed, the easiest is First Chickenhead Arete at 5.6, and the hardest is Black Chimney at 5.10a. The median grade is 5.8. Several of the top rope routes, including Cauliflower Ear and Outer Ear, are also around 5.8. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 84°F with only about three wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-40s and rain on most days. That station sits roughly 1,200 feet below the wall, so temperatures on the crag run cooler.
