Rabbit Ears (Rogue) is a climbing area in Oregon's Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests, within the High Cascades Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land. The area has 14 routes, with sport and trad styles making up the bulk. Grades run from 5.7 to 5.11, with a median of 5.10a. Sport climbers can try "Domes Do It" (5.7) and "Bowling for Bunnies" (5.8+), both first ascended in 1985. Trad routes include "Arete" (5.10a) and "Gavin's Straight Up" (5.11). Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 69°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months see highs in the low 30s and rain on 18 days. The Rogue Umpqua Divide Trail lies about 1.5 miles away and Anderson Mountain Trail about 2.2 miles, so it's easy to combine a climb with a hike. The Rogue River, about 4.7 miles off, offers paddling, and Falcon Creek campground is about 5.7 miles away.
