Tiddlywinks (Terrain Park) is a short, easy hike in the Bend/Fort Rock Ranger District of Oregon's Deschutes National Forest, about a mile from the trailhead. The route is an out-and-back that gains about 184 feet in elevation, with the high point at 5,426 feet and the low at 5,224 feet. The steepest stretch comes early, around 0.2 miles in, with a 15% grade. The trail is natural-surface and open to bikes, and horses are not allowed. It is managed by the Forest Service and is open year-round, with an estimated half-hour for the round trip. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Sunriver weather station run to highs around 84°F in July, while winter highs sit in the 30s and 40s. That station sits roughly 1,200 feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the hike run cooler. The Tiddly Winks (Lower) and Kiwa Butte MTB Trail mountain biking routes are both about 0.2 miles away. The OUTER LOOP hike is about a mile off, and the Main Area climbing area is about 5.5 miles away.
