Ticket to Ride is a 12.4-mile loop on natural-surface trail in the Bend/Fort Rock Ranger District of Oregon's Deschutes National Forest. The route starts at about 4,074 feet and climbs to 4,388 feet before returning to the starting point, with the steepest stretch at mile 4.5 reaching about a 9% grade. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is rated hard. Bikes are allowed, but horses are not. The trail stays open year-round, and the surrounding area holds several other routes within a mile. For comfortable conditions, late spring and early fall are the sweet spots. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Sunriver show highs around 65°F in May and 76°F in September, while July highs average 84°F. Nearby, Catch and Release and Cod are short hikes within half a mile, the Deschutes River Trail offers mountain biking about 0.7 miles away, and Widgi Left is a climbing area about a mile off.
