Santiam Wagon Rd. Trail (#3413) is a 5.7-mile out-and-back hike in Oregon's Willamette National Forest, within the Sweet Home Ranger District. The trail rises about 518 feet from its lowest point at 1,404 feet to a high of 1,839 feet. The climb is moderate, with the steepest stretch coming at about 1.8 miles, where the grade reaches 26 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs of about 83°F in July and 82°F in August, with only three or four wet days a month. Winter is far colder and wetter, with January highs near 37°F and 17 wet days. The trail is about 0.2 miles from the Santiam Wagon Road Trail #3413, and House Rock Campground and House Rock Loop are each within a mile. Sheep Creek, a paddling route, is about 2.3 miles away.
