Primrose Path is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 1.2 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 882 feet, and it starts at roughly 1,770 feet, rising to a high point of about 2,424 feet before returning to the trailhead. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 81 to 82°F with only about three wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the upper 30s and rain on most days. That station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the path run cooler. The hike takes about an hour. Lily's Lane is 0.2 miles away and Devil's Fork and Vista Point are each about 0.3 miles off. Rat Cave, a climbing area, is about 0.6 miles away.
