Devil's is a short, easy hike in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The route is about 0.6 miles long and rises roughly 333 feet from a low point of 1,993 feet to a high of 2,113 feet, with the steepest stretch at about 13% grade near the 0.24-mile mark. It's a low-commitment outing, and the round trip is about 0.6 miles with a total climb of 333 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs in the upper 70s with only five or six wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the low 40s and rain on most days. That station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the higher ground run cooler. Devil's Fork and Lily's Lane are both about 0.3 miles away, and Primrose Path is about 0.4 miles off. Rat Cave, a climbing area, is about 0.9 miles away.
