Lily's Lane is a short, easy hike in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, managed by the Forest Service. It sits in Oregon, about 1.7 miles from the Washington town of Prindle. The trail is an out-and-back, roughly 0.9 miles long, with a total climb of about 186 feet from the start at 1,868 feet to a high point of 1,935 feet. The steepest stretch comes early, around 0.15 miles in, with a grade of about 17 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs in the upper 70s with only five or six wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the low 40s and rain on most days. That station sits well below the trail, so temperatures on the route run cooler. Several other outings are close by. Primrose Path and Devil's Fork are each about 0.2 miles away, and the Rat Cave climbing area is about 0.6 miles off. Oneonta Creek, a paddling spot, lies about 3.3 miles away.
