Old Skyline Trail #655 is a short, easy hike in the Hood River Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 0.7 miles long and is an out-and-back route, with the high point at 3,027 feet and the low at 2,740 feet. The total climb is about 534 feet, and the steepest stretch comes within the first 0.05 miles. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Government Camp weather station show July and August highs around 69 to 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-30s and rain on most days. The trail sits right next to two climbing areas, Roadside Attraction Boulder and Extra Crispy Boulders, both about 0.1 mile away. Buck Peak is 0.8 mile off, and Lost Lake campground is about 1.4 miles away.
