Mccubbins 576A: Campgrnd Loop is an easy, 2.8-mile out-and-back hike in the Barlow Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is natural-surfaced and sits at about 3,300 feet, with a high point of 3,331 feet and a low of 3,283 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.8 miles in, with a 7% grade. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Government Camp weather station show July and August highs around 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-30s and rain on most days. McCubbins Gulch campground and the McCubbins Barton Loop Trail #576 are both about 0.4 miles away.
