The Fremont National Recreation Trail is an extensive point-to-point route spanning over 125 miles through south-central Oregon's high desert and forested terrain. This remote backcountry trail traverses the Fremont National Forest, offering solitude and expansive views across the region's volcanic plateau landscape. Hikers experience a mix of ponderosa pine forests, open ridgelines, and high-elevation meadows with opportunities to encounter wildlife and experience Oregon's rugged interior wilderness.
