Ash Flat Campground is a Forest Service site in the Tiller Ranger District of Oregon's Umpqua National Forest, about 2.3 miles from Boulder Creek Campground and South Umpqua Falls. It sits in a forest of mixed conifers and hardwoods, with four campsites that each have picnic tables and fire pits. The closest water is the South Umpqua River, just a few seconds away, and the site has a vault toilet and garbage disposal. There is no drinking water on site. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the Toketee Falls weather station, about 21 miles away, show July highs around 86°F with only about three wet days, while winter months bring highs in the low 40s and rain on most days. The South Umpqua River is about 3.2 miles away for paddling, and Acker Rock is about 4.3 miles away for a hike.
