Three C Rock Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Tiller Ranger District of Oregon's Umpqua National Forest, about 1.8 miles from Dumont Creek Campground. It sits on the South Umpqua River, where it is the only spot along the river where fishing is permitted. The site has eight campsites under a canopy of mixed conifers, and vault toilets are the only amenities. The campground was named after a historic Civilian Conservation Corps camp built in the late 1930s. Be prepared for poison oak in the surrounding vegetation. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 84°F with only about three wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-40s and rain on 17 or more days. Boulder Creek Campground is just 0.3 miles away, and Dumont Creek Campground is 1.8 miles off. Paddlers can head to Dumont Creek, about 3 miles away, or the South Umpqua River, about 5.4 miles away.
