Puzzle Palace is a climbing area on Wrightman's Plateau 1 in New York, on county land. It sits among several other climbing areas, with Jumble Hotel and Devonshire each about 0.1 mile away, and p. East End at a similar distance. The White Diamond Trail is about 0.2 mile off, so the area works well for a day of climbing paired with a short walk. The climbing here is sport, with one mixed route, and the grades run from 5.4 up to 5.10-. The easiest route is Purple Rain at 5.4, and the hardest is Fang This! at 5.10-. The median grade is 5.8+. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 76°F, with July peaking near 84°F. The Ramapo River, about 4 miles away, offers river fishing, and Monksville Reservoir, about 8 miles away, is a lake fishing option.
